Quick report
We went out hunting for windslabs and were unable to find any on N facing terrain in silver basin. We found 2-6” new snow with ok bonding at the 12/27 interface. We observed up to 14” of new snow atop 12/25 on predominately N facing aspects. Generally, this snow didn’t seem to want to slab up and ski pen was often to 12/25 while skinning. We did get one interesting test result… 6230’ on a NE aspect, 37deg slope HS 135cm ECTN11 down 12cm (12/27?) ECTP13 down 20cm (12/25?) - looked like DF but it was tough to tell since the snow was so wet, as soon as it touched the crystal card it stuck. This particular slope has signs of upslope winds keeping new snow above 12/25 low relative to other more wind sheltered terrain.
