Quick report
Started on 7-12” snow with hard uneven crust. Snowing lightly at 10:30 and snowed the whole time (2-4”) until I left at 2:30. Passable snow for skinning, horrible for skiing. I was clearing downed trees from trail, but gave up 500 yards East of Tie Lillaby trail junction. The windstorm has drooped 100’s or 1,000’s of trees and I don’t believe the trail will be skiable this winter, unless a flood of skilled, strong, and daring folks with large chain saws show up. I read here recently that the top of County Line was also blocked, and will try to clear that on Saturday, so skiers have access to Diamond Head this year…Do Not Assume that XC15 ( also called Haney Meadow Trail) is clear. I hope County Line Trail is cleared this Saturday…
