Quick report
We went up towards Muir and then skied Nisqually Chute. We decided to turn around at around 9300 ft because by that point, there was enough ice that skinning was no longer enjoyable. We entered Nisqually Chute at around 2:00pm and conditions were much better. The chute itself had corn-adjacent snow. It seemed like the top couple inches of crust had softened. Initially we were worried about the top layer releasing enough to provide a potential hazard, but it skied well and minimal slush released as we skied down.
