Snow was very soft early in morning. Sun and heat came in very strong very fast. Many rollerballs were observed, and snow became sensitive. After triggering a very small wet slab slide (see other note) we opted for conservative terrain. Snow cooled off almost as quickly as it heated up, forming a bit of a crust after around 2:30pm. Saw some recent wet-loose avalanches (1-2 days old) on distant southeast slopes, isolated to spots beneath specific extreme terrain features.

Avalanche

Human-triggered small wet slab avalanche (D0.5?) that ran ~100 feet, approximately 40 feet wide and ~6 inches deep. Slope was not much over 30 degrees. Would be enough to maybe knock you off your feet but not bury or carry far. Occurred on a south aspect after getting baked in the sun all day: snow on south aspects got very touchy after all the heat came in.
