Quick report
The sun was out in the morning while we skinned up. Lots of tree bombs releasing, some from sun and some from wind. On this information we decided against skiing any open slopes. On the ridge, wind transport was actively happening (sustained moderate). Our skin track was filling in quickly and wind slabs were starting to developed. Overall the new snow seems nonreactive in our hand pits and skin track tests. We enjoyed pleasant powder above ~4200”. Below that, the warming got to the snow and was a little more difficult to ski.
Avalanche
Throughout the day saw lots of avalanches in adjacent bowls (red mtn, snoqualmie mtn, kendall slopes). On the faces we saw point release dry looses and wet tree boom point releases. All D1.
