Apental

Traveled up Alpental valley to source lake. At source lake observed wind slab on North aspects, specifically on no fog bowl. Solar aspects (S,SE) we saw no wind slabs, but observed stout sun crust. Traveled to snow lake divide 4500’, snow on the exposed terrain was scoured and wind board. With strong to extreme gust. Triggered multiple shooting cracks and whomph on the lee side (North aspect) of the snowlake divide ridge. Snow in north facing sheltered area is still soft and powdery. Exited at the valley at 2:30 with light to moderate snow fall, 1cm new.
