We toured up Elephant's Hump on a colder than expected day. The NE/E winds were moderate, keeping temperatures down. We saw plenty of evidence of previous SW winds. We dug a pit on a NE slope and had a CT 12 SC on a F hard facet layer below a P crust, above which was the 29cm new snow. Near the top in NT terrain, we observed cracking and small and thin wind slab releases that did not travel very far (a few inches). We did not observe any wet loose problems. There were shallow wind slabs (3 cm) on the NE slope up at NT near the peak.

Wind chill made it feel much colder than expected.
Snowpack
We dug a pit and found 29 cm new snow of F hardness under which was a 1 cm crust P crust, under which was 2 cm F facets, then a 1F slab. CT 12 SC on the F facet layer 30 cm down. HS 187 cm.
