Quick report

Cracking
isolated

Dug a pit at the pin. 8200' due East facing, where snow was wind compacted. CT 13, and then ECTP 14, both failing at an interface 35 cm down. Q2 shear, somewhere between sudden planar and resistant planar. Saw a natural slab avalanche, likely triggered by cornices, as well as a handful of dry loose sluffs from cornice breaks. Kicked a few cornices down but never triggered anything substantial ourselves. Decided to stick to mellower terrain.
