Large collapse travelled 1000+ ft. Notable drop when the collapse occurred. Cracks observed on 30* slope 1000+ feet away as well as on the ridge nearly 1500' away. The collapse occurred on our 3rd lap of the same skin track. ECTX with no results including outside of parameters(my fist started to hurt with 8 additional whacks). Layer of concern ( informally identified by shovel shear test: pulling ECT block) was 110cm down. However, I believe the collapse occurred at the facets we observed near the ground (~150cm down). Time was short-babysitter. Deep tap or PST/CPST were needed for additional insight. 8000', NW.
Avalanche
Wind loaded NE ridge line at 9000'. We intentionally triggered with a stomp from the ridge line. 32* approximate slope angle with a small pocket that was a couple degrees steeper near the start zone.
