Metal Dome, Sea-to-Sky

50+ cm of unconsolidated storm snow at 1,500m. Ski pen 35-45 cm at treeline. Observed dozens of natural size 0.5-1.5 on steep and unsupported slopes, all aspects. Natural slides ran long and skinny in gully festures. Heard half dozen thunderous triggers in the alpine - ostensibly cornice falls. Whumphing and tangible snow pack settlement at 1,500m. No cracking observed. Skied open, moderate terrain at treeline. Below treeline found some great turns with 20-30cm storm snow gripping well to crust.
