Quick report
Snow at Excelsior Pass was a 2 inch unsupportive crust over heavy wet snow. Evidence of several large avalanches from over the weekend but the snow currently seems fairly stable. Lots of wind drifted snow at the pass.
Avalanche
Multiple large natural avalanches on the steep slope under Excelsior Peak (around 5,200 ft) probably from this past weekend. Avalanche debris was frozen in hard chunks, much of it boulder sized.
