Quick report
~1 cm surface hoar from Paradise to treeline in the morning; partially melted in sun exposed areas by afternoon. Snow is very sugary and unconsolidated up to at least Pan Point (shallow depth and cold temps!). Light winds up to ~8000', gusting to moderate winds on the Snowfield above 8000'. Lots of signs of wind transport--wind ridges on snow, blowing snow on ridgelines. Most of the snowfield has started to form a wind crust--mostly supportable when skinning, breakable when skiing. No clouds, no precip. Temps felt like high 20s in the morning and mid 30s afternoon. Only minor signs of settlement at lower elevations in the afternoon. Skinning from the parking lot is no problem. Chose to boot down from around Pebble Creek due to low coverage. Already had plenty of shark nibbles above there, so it appeared most chose to boot down at some point.
