Quick Observation
We got to the Bedwell Lake trail head with chains on the truck on Friday morning. Skinned from the car to Bedwell Lake through steadily deeper schlurpy. We were able to skin over both lakes and made camp at Bedwell Lake. Friday night precip was somewhere between rain and snow. Saturday morning cleared by 9AM. We attempted to skin to Big Interior and found breakable crust causing us to question our life choices. Aborted below the Big Interior north cirque and turned tail for fear of twisted knees. We noticed pin wheeling off the north aspect of Big Interior as we were skinning back across the lake. There was also evidence of avalanche crowns high on big interior - maybe windslab from earlier in the week, very hard to say given how far away from it we were. Back at the truck the road had melted out by the time we got down.
