Birdwood-smuts-commenweath

Skied the Birdwood-Smuts-Commenweath traverse today. The south slopes leading to to the Snowpeak-Birdwood col were moist at 1030. The crux step leading to the bench required either ski crampons or wallowing through waist deep facets. The north aspect had amazing Kananaskis hero powder. Treed SW aspect were getting wet and heavy in the late afternoon. We saw two 1.5 avalanches off the SE aspect of Smutwood peak from this morning or yesterday. The conga line coming off the Robertson glacier reported poor ski quality.
