Quick Observation

Rode the Kindergarten Couloir on Sunday. Extremely cold start in the morning, but rapidly warmed up as we got closer to noon. Some sluffing from the top as the sun hit the ridge above us. No signs of Cornice failures (yet). Multiple recent small (size 1-1.5) slides in the fan below the couloir where sluff had overloaded and triggered wind slabs, and one size ~1 in the middle of the couloir. Still potentially some pockets on the fan that could rip with the right trigger. Dug two pits near the top of the fan. Both were failing ~12h about 50cm down SP. Took a bit of work to get them to fail, but when they failed they failed with some force.

Avalanche Information

Numerous recent wind slab failures approximately size 1 up to 1.5+ with significant sluff in the mix.
