Quick Observation

This area has seen significant New Snow Load in the last week. Be aware thst conditions in the part of the region may have significantly higher risk as the temps warm up towards the middle of the week. Last weeks warming/Crust interface is now buried 40-60cm down and is amazing riding at this time. But the 5cm thick crust below is very well supporting and may be the next bed surface. We saw signs of the new snow beginning creep on steep slopes. Get it while the getting is good!!

Snowpack

Deep tap test DTH 22 RP dn 130 on SH 2-5mm. After removing the upper 40-60cm's of BLOWER we were able get the SH layer to react RP. We were actually surprised to still find it but it goes to prove that it may still be a PWL problem lurking below. The biggest concern will be.... Last weeks warming/Crust interface (bed surface) is now buried 40-60cm down and is amazing riding at this time. But the 5cm thick crust below is very well supporting and may be the next bed surface. We saw signs of the new snow beginning creep on steep slopes. This weeks warming trend will be something to watch closely with all this new snow on that bed surface.
