Went to check out goats eye today. We had some minor cracking while skining. The storm snow wasn’t bonded very well with the crust below it. It was a fairly thin snowpack near the creek (50-60cms), at 2000m there was 180cm. On the dissent we skied onto a steep shoulder in the slide path and had a skier trigger a small slide (0.5-1) that propagated a few meters in front of them.
Pretty cold day, blue skys with light clouds. We could see clouds moving above but no wind noted on ridge tops.
CTM 13 down 35 SP CTH 24 down 80 on December 2nd crust RP Another compression test showed a CTH 23 down 80 SP but we were unable to reproduce this result on further tests.
