Castle Park AST 1

Today in the Castle area there was 15 cm of snow that is not bonding to the early December rain crust. While traveling through open slopes near treeline we observed a few shooting cracks. We topped out at 1850 where the snowpack depth at Treeline was 80 cm. Variable winds throughout the day were moving snow around and it was lightly snowing throughout the day with trace accumulation, we stuck to sheltered locations at treeline. Snow tapers drastically below 1700m.
