Owlbear Foxbeard

Skied skiers left of the secondary bowl about a 30-degree slope. About 10 cm on a hard-pack slab. Turns were pretty nice coming down with a few deeper pockets of powder in treed areas. On the skin back up I noticed very loud whumpfing in a few areas but could not see any surface propagation. Made my way to safety and skied a dense tree line back toward the in-bounds area of Apex ski resort. It was glorious, about a 38-degree slope with knee-high powder turns and minimal sloughing.
