Quick Observation
Avalanche Information
We came across this avalanche in the afternoon, unsure if it was natural or skiier triggered, only about 15cm deep of storm slab but it was fairly wide (approx 30m) and ran about 50m. Start zone was the convex it’s at the top of the slope just skiers right of sunnyside We set off a mini 0.5 skiing down the gully that you skin up to get to tunnel. Very small, remote trigger as we skied around it. Again, 15cm of storm slab or recent snow
Weather
Snowpack
120cm of snow at the tunnel hut, 95cm of soft snow layer from recent loading. At bottom 40cm of snow
