While traveling in areas not prone to wind loading, HS of 30cm with fist density all the way to ground. Presumed temperature crust 25cm down seemed to be decomposing. Some faceting near ground, but very small. Moderate sized surface hoar forming. Hand shears produced planar fractures on the temperature crust.
In the immediate lee of cliffs, it was a very different world. HS up to ~130cm of variable density snow up to pencil. Multiple cohesive layers present and producing planar fractures from hand shears.
No whumphing, shooting cracks, or any other signs of instability while traveling.
