Quick Observation

Went up from decommisioned Blue Pearl road. The morning offered easy walking on old slide debris and hard pack. Early afternoon provided excellent skiing with ski penetration varying from a couple cms to boot top from about 1700 m down to 1400 m. The snow varied quite a bit with elevation change. Powder at the top, edgable wet mid way to corn towards the bottom. There is just enough snow on the road to allow skiing right to the bottom with only a couple of dirt patches. Main hazard was one remaining frigate sized cornice that cantilevered out further than gravity should allow. on the south wall at about 1600 m. Exposure to it can be limited by staying high on the south side on the way up. Didn't get to the top as some early afternoon snowballing from higher up slope told me it was time to go home. Would ski again with an earlier start to beat the heat.
