Quick report
Traveled from 7600 to just shy of 10k. Wind got in everywhere, low, mid and for sure upper. Looking across the valley and to the North there was almost no snow on any ridges facing West. Saw very large masses of snow in peculiar places from the wind. Observed wet loose on solar aspects at mid and lower. In our travels, wind slabs seemed locked in and had zero movement. Snowpack was much more consolidated than I was anticipating, huge settlement cones, small ski penetration. Crusts on solar noted from 9500 and down. .
