Quick report

Wind affected snow conditions exist across the high elevations of the Snakes. Temperatures stayed relatively cool over 8000 ft, and dry snow still exists on most aspects above 8500. We stayed off large steep terrain and gave a lot of respect to the persistent weak layer. Looking around from a high vantage point revealed multiple smaller natural avalanches on east and north aspects within a few miles.

Crown observed approximately 200 yards wide on a steep north aspect into a substantial terrain trap. We didn't inspect the debris pile but this looks from afar like a new/old snow interface problem.
