We backed off the line (it looked really good).

We've been eyeing up this line on the East side for awhile now and thought it would go last Friday, (the line is the coullie left of centre). We dug a pit part way up the apron (approx 1500m)...the rain crust at 60cms was the worst we've seen anywhere, literally 1cm of ice, and poorly bonded facets below. There was another crust at 45cms. We observed planar fractures on the 45 cm crust at CT11 and CT15. We backed off the line and went on tour in search for rock magnets. Objective completed.
