At least half a dozen wet avalanches occurred this afternoon below Temple Fork in the north-facing terrain above the Logan River due to rain soaking the shallow snow. The avalanches ran off very steep north-facing slopes right into the river. Talk about a classic terrain trap! Fishermen should always avoid the nice pools on this part of the river when rain is saturating the snow above.
