-A slab layer is still building in this area, and there was a m/f crust, evidence of tree bombs in the snowpit, and needle-cast on the crusty old snow surface. very weak faceted snow beneath the crust.
-We noted localized cracking in the new snow, especially where the old snow surface was crusty.
-It was nice to get out in the storm today, and we found nice smooth fresh powder conditions in safe terrain, on slopes less steep than 30°.
