Did not observe any signs of instability. Layers of facets between MF crusts could collapse under weight of future snow falls. No signs of instability observed.

Bluebird day with calm winds. At 1500 was 14F with calm winds.

Snowpack

Very low snow cover in Glen Alps/Powerline Valley area. Considerable vegetation exposed. On flats 40cm HS in protected areas. Snow surface consists of 3-4cm loose decomposing new snow from storms on 12/26-27 with thin cap of small surface hoar. Overlines a series of M/F crusts. No sign of recent wind transport. Got CT19@53cm, Q3. ECTN@23245cm, retrograding facet layer under MF crusts, . See attached profile.
