Snowpack

We dug a pit on a NE slope at 2,643’. 128 cm height of snow. Some evidence of previous wind loading upslope. In the pit we found a Thin layer of Buried surface hoar 10cm down. Appeared to be a pencil hard 5 cm melt freeze crust 80 cm down with the bottom 20 cm pencil hard rounding facets. ECTX CTN both broke at the melt freeze crust near the base after pulling on the block with the shovel.
