- Heavy Snowfall, Wind Loading, Poor Snowpack Structure
Pleasant morning to be out between storms.
Light to moderate winds loading and cross loading the East 1/2 of the compass from 9k and up. Light snow started again just after 10am. In sheltered locations new snow is a little denser then previous storm snow, but should sort itself out sooner then later. As you climb out of the drainages wind slab is evident in many locations and all aspects and elevations in exposed terrain. You could feel the slab building over the pour structure.
Today I stayed out of Avalanche terrain, and was greeted by endless powder turns in lower angle meadows.
