Hiked up Cardiff Fork road to see what was going on up there yesterday and encountered a pretty big slide that seemed to have come down from the Catcher's Mitt zone. There was significant debris across the entire meadow near the road all the way to the edge of the creek. Lots of broken trees in the debris. Visibility was obviously quite poor and the size I give is just an estimate but definitely D3. I'm guessing it slid sometime overnight or early am on the 16th as there was only a trace of snow on top of the debris and ski pen had been 25-30cm on the road up to that point. This is a different location from the slide reported a few days prior higher up the canyon.
