Skied at bacon rind. Very distinct snowpack transition below the upper meadows. Down low there was a 10cm pencil hard crust below 4-6” of fluff. A quick handpit around 7500’ on SE slope showed a 50cm deep snowpack with 1f snow to the ground below the crust. At 8600’ I measured 125cm HS, with significantly more new snow sitting on a 2cm softer crust.
