Quick report

During a tour up French Gulch our group observed multiple slides on an opposing face. The slides were both slab avalanches as well as what appeared to be glide cracks. Digging on a similar aspect/elevation we found an entirely saturated snowpack with free water all the way to ground (120cm). Test pits on northerly aspects @ 5700' revealed only 25-30 cm of snowpack saturation with the free water pooling in a graupel layer. The snowpack was isothermal. While the snowpack was very wet, test cuts on small steep slopes did not result in any wet loose movement.
