Many whoomphs above treeline traveling on low angle ridge of sunnyside. Hand pit near the avalanche found 20 cm of F+ new snow on 20cm of 4f-wind pressed new snow sitting on 10cm of F hard facets from the recent cold spell on top of a stout rain crust from early Feb.
Avalanche
Looked like most of the sunnyside released naturally sometime this morning, appeared to be SS-N-D2-1-2’-R3-N, quite connected!
