Quick report
Ascended Rusty Point from the Wolverine Bowl side. From the ridge I observed fresh avalanche debris on the south-facing slope descending toward the Williwaw Lakes Trail. Debris extended downslope into the valley to just above the alder line. Large cornice blocks were visible further upslope above the debris path. Several sizable cornices along the ridgeline showed cracking, which prevented safely approaching the edge for a closer look. Based on the debris distribution and the presence of cornice blocks above the path, it appeared that a cornice fall likely triggered a wind slab avalanche on the slope below. No other red flags were observed during the day in the Wolverine Bowl side and skiing was fantastic for the Front Range
