Observation: Reed and Benson Ridge

From Flagstaff peak we started our traverse north on the Days/Cardiff divide. Almost immediately we experienced a medium size woomph as we traversed below rocks on the west side of the ridge. Since we were aiming for a steep west facing line and had more avalanche terrain yet to traverse, we turned back. We already had considered this line to be pushing it in terms of risk, so we figured one early warning sign was enough.

At the risk of being pedantic, we drew an X in the snow marking where the collapse occurred.
