Aside from the ice crust on the surface, new snow is maintaining its dry and unconsolidated character. After a day of cooling and settlement, instabilities within the new snow are less apparent.
No signs of instability noted within the new snow or at the new/old interface. Numerous D1 and D2 Dry/wet loose off Benzene peak from past 24-48 hours.Weather

Yesterdays thaw has been followed up by much cooler temps and moderate westerly/South Westerly winds. Light precip with little accumulation. Snow availiable for transport was limited due to ice crust on top of storm snow. Areas without ice crust have large amounts of snow availiable for transport.
Snowpack
65cm of dry unconsolidated storm snow has been capped by a 1-2cm rain crust. Max Elevation of rain crust to be determined. Snow surface under storm snow consisted of loose faceted grains. The cracking and settling within the new snow that was previously observed was not present today. No significant test results.
