The day started out calm and clear then the clouds built and the north wind kicked up by late afternoon with visible transport. A quick pit lower on the mountain at 3,600' N-Aspect revealed poor structure and CT 22 SC on facets over a crust down 35cm. At 4,500' N-Aspect HS 180cm and ECTX with a few notable interfaces that failed on shovel shear. Observed 3-6mm depth hoar that was semi-refrozen except where it was not near rocks. Old reactice wind slab was present on isolated terrain features and wind loaded gullies.

Patches of clouds rolling through with sunshine and calm. Then later in the afternoon the north wind picked up and began drifting snow.
