Quick report

Original objective was to ski but pivoted to hiking due to lack of snow. Snow was thin all the way to the top (around 5,500 ft). NorthWest facing slope off of the top of the ridge looked like it had enough snow to ski. Northwest facing snow appeared much deeper, not exposed to the sun and possibly had more snow from wind depositing, did not get on the slope out of avalanche caution. This slope was also more protected by rock features. Snow was windblown and hard around 3-5 inches deep towards the summit on the aspect we were on (East facing). Showed signs of wind etching and ice from sun exposure. Overall a great weekend hike!
