Quick report
Rec day at Gash Knob. Dust on crust with 3-5" of new snow resting on a crust everywhere we traveled (up to 8200 ft). The crust became less supportable on shaded aspects above 8000 ft. No signs of instability were noted. We parked at the lower trailhead and were able to ski down to the creek crossing around 6100 ft.
