Lots of whomphing and propagating cracks. 12-14 inches of new snow. Mostly cloudy with 3 inches of snow throughout the day. Unstable conditions required cautious travel.
Avalanche
West most basin of Crystal Theater, East facing slope, roughly 6k ft. Looked like it occurred last night or this morning. My guess is natural trigger though there were ski tracks close by. The ski tracks looked much older than the slide. Nobody caught. Roughly 20ft by 50ft, probably 14 inches deep. Saw other fractures of that depth propagating on the old sun crust.
