During the sidestep out of the bottom of the main south bowl of Gash knob (at roughly 6800 feet), while traversing the slope at the bottom of the drainage following the normal exit track, we experienced significant collapsing in several locations, including a collapse that triggered a roughly 50-foot crack below the track.
