Quick report
ECT at 7800 east northeast just below ridgeline pit depth about one meter. 180 cm total snow. Measured from the surface: ECTN16 16cm. ECTN23 42cm. When pried a layer 30cm presented itself but was fairly well bonded. The 16 cm deep layer was releasing on steeper terrain but was a very soft slab. Otherwise did not experience any cracking or other signs of instability despite wild winds and heavy snow while skiing. Winds were about as high as I would want to tour in; at ridge top were mostly westerly but the terrain was mixing the wind down such that there were very strong consistent northerlies below ridgeline to the valley. Freezing fog in the late afternoon made for difficult vision and thick snow where the wind was riming the surface on west aspects.
