Quick report
Good powder in shaded and protected ares. We saw fresh natural wind slab avalanches D1-2, as winds were increasing with the incoming storm. Winds were making us think, the potential persistent slab made us stick to non consequential slopes. Tree debris on the road from wind.
Sled cuts on test slopes ,N-S did not produce results. We did not want to play on larger, slopes below the cornices steeper than 30 degrees.
We saw active wind loading and surface effect on exposed slopes starting, we also saw recent wind slab avalanches, 10-12 inches deep on north and east aspects below the cornices. We saw evidence that was mostly covered from new snow and wind of natural avalanches that had ran deeper, earlier on 2/8 layer.Weather

Filtered sun giving way to incoming storm clouds with frontal south winds gusting into the 30mph range. Cold in the morning enough to lock up the groomer and cause sleds to heat up.
