Quick report
Today we skied Chair Peak S Shoulder, then over Thumbtack Col to Cache Couloir and out the source lake out track. We observed no signs of instability other than roller balls and point releases from precious days. We saw no new wet loose activity. We popped out above the fog at about 4,600' in the morning. Winds were light, high clouds prevented too much solar action, and cold snow remained on many slopes especially shady ones. Snow on the south shoulder was settled powder mixed with wind stiffened patches, but skied very well, snow in cache had caught much more wind and crusted up more. The snow did not seem to be warming or getting any more wet thru out the day.
