Minimal signs of instability beyond small inch or so deep wind slabs that were not propagating on the way up. Plan to stay conservative given concern for persistent slab. Found a slightly steeper slope that had a hallway without trees apx 25 ft across in a mild gulley. Attempted a jump onto slope for assessment before committing but was caught and slid apx 15 ft before getting above the slide. Was surprised by depth and quick propagation across slope. Do not believe this went to the persistent slab layer but rather a few days of wind slab build up. Avalanche continued apx 2-300 ft down slope without building (the snow that slid all released at once near the top). Overall terrible ski conditions.
Avalanche
10 to 12 inch deep wind loaded slope. Propagating immediately across untreed slope breaking in large cohesive slabs.
