Cold and clear overnight with low temperature near 20 degrees in Bear Valley. Snow surface was firm this morning with some softening throughout the day in wind protected areas. Snow surface ranged from a variety of crusts and supportability on solar aspects. Sky cover went from mostly cloudy to periods of less clouds and more sun. Some soft wet snow formed at lower elevations, but minimal softening occurred in wind exposed locations. No blowing snow was observed today.
