Quick report
We spent all day in the backcountry and didn't see anything of note. Aware of the persistent slab hazard, we were operating on a conservative travel plan for the day and stuck to pretty mellow terrain. On the slopes we traveled on (mostly treed, all below about 35 degrees and mostly below 30 degrees), we saw nothing particularly notable in terms of avalanches. No collapsing, whumfing, or cracking observed. We did not see any crowns of recent avalanches in the area. There was evidence of some minor wind loading near ridge line that was probably a couple days old as there was a small amount of fresh snow on top of firmer, wind effected snow. Mostly overcast today, in spite of the sun trying to poke out a couple times. Snowed lightly most of the day, with limited accumulation. Less than an inch on our car when we returned, maybe a bit more at elevation. Little to no wind, even at ridge line. Ski conditions were excellent above 4500 or so. There was a very discernable crust under the snow at lower elevations, but it was not present up higher.
