Quick report

~40cm of new snow on top of 1/2 crust. Out of several hand shears, two had planar results under moderate pressure at 1/2 interface. Other than that, no other obvious instability signs observed. Calm and mostly cloudy throughout the day. The sun was out briefly around noon.

Avalanche

Size
D2.5
Aspect
SE
Elevation
5800 ft

Crown line started at the beginning of a steep roll and propagated ~300 ft or more at ~5800 ft on E facing slopes of Bullion Peak. It ran ~300 ft till stop. Looks likely to have ran naturally or triggered remotely on 1/2 interface some time Saturday. Feels like a D2.5 avalanche to me.
