Stable conditions and pleasant temperatures made for a lovely day out. We found swishy sugary facet turns above 9k’ on northerly aspects and variable thickness breakable crusts below 9k’ on all aspects. The crusts were decomposing. All slopes had 20-50cm of facets at the surface or crusts capping the facets. Surface hoar covered most surfaces below 7500’.
